Whether you have interest in finding a career in real estate after college, becoming an entrepreneur in real estate years down the road, or simply want to learn more about real estate, it’s time to become an official member of the Wharton Undergraduate Real Estate Club! Benefits of being a dues-paying member include, but are not limited to:

  • Ballard Luncheon Series: Only members are invited to these highly exclusive, small lunch sessions with industry titans.  In the past, we have had extremely stimulating conversations with heads of Real Estate Investment Banking divisions at bulge bracket banks, heads of Real Estate Private Equity firms, and a multitude of other leaders in their industries.  The lunches are limited to only 15-20 students, with one-on-one chats afterward for students who sign up.
  • Zell/Lurie Resume Book: Submit your resume to a multitude of employers in Real Estate and Finance through our resume book, the primary tool of real estate and real estate finance employers in seeking undergraduate interns and full-time employees from Wharton. A link to the Resume Book will be sent out to our members on October 6, and to our entire listserve (over 6,000 companies) after the Fall Members’ Meeting.
  • MBA/Undergraduate Real Estate Club Mixers: Mingle with graduate students with experience in a diverse set of industries in an intimate setting, gaining the opportunity to build long-lasting mentorships and professional relationships.
  • MBA/Undergraduate Mentorship program: Be paired with an MBA according to your field of interest. Whether you want to learn how to invest your own money, work for a developer, or even get into real estate investment banking, this is an excellent, low-key opportunity to learn about Real Estate first hand from a outside professional and develop potential job contacts in the future.
  • Masters of Real Estate Lecture Series: Gain the opportunity to engage some of the most influential minds in our industry in intimate town hall Q&A sessions, designed to bring together the great minds of today with the great minds of tomorrow in intellectually vibrant forum.
  • Development Site Visits: Secure one of a limited number of spots on site visits to various development projects in Philadelphia with both the Graduate School of Design Real Estate Club & the Penn Law Real Estate Club, gaining insight into the architectural, managerial, and developmental sides of real estate.
  • MBA Lecture Series Events: Dues paying members will have the opportunity to attend select lecture series events hosted by the MBA Real Estate Club throughout the year.
  • General Body Meetings: The first General Body Meeting will be open to the Wharton constituency at large; thereafter, the meetings will be open only to dues-paying members. A discussion leader will lead a lively periodical discussion on current events in real estate, fostering education for all undergraduate members who wish to learn about investment, finance, or development.  We will also discuss events throughout the year available for members to network, find jobs, and learn about real estate.

Membership dues are $15 (+1.07 in taxes and fees), payable through the Google Checkout link at www.wurec.com/membership.html.  If you sign up, be sure to sign up for the listserv as well at www.wurec.com/listserv.html.  Members will be placed on the members-only listserv, as well as the general body listserv.
